Pemberton BMX fundraiser set for November 30

Since checking in this September with Pemberton BMX’s Jessica Hare, the group have been even busier than they were this summer. They’ve presented a bold vision to the Village of Pemberton for the track, hosted an AGM, elected a board of directors, secured a grant from the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation, attended the BMX Track Operators meeting, started their great Dirt Search for fill. And, they’ve secured a host of awesome silent auction items for people to bid on at their fundraiser celebration on Friday, November 30, at the Mt Currie Coffee Co.

Shout out to the Board for their amazing energy –  directors Graham Turner, Jessica Turner, Lara Wall, Dan Wall and Ernesto Cruz, and Board Members Graeme Harris, Turner Montgomery, Katie Guthrie, Steve Petrie, Gary Martin, Donna Kerr and Brian Jansen.

What better way to multi-task during the busiest time of the year, and simultaneously catch up with friends, celebrate the 5th anniversary of a local indie cafe, support an awesome grassroots community initiative to build a BMX track that Pemberton can be proud of, and get some prime Christmas shopping done?!

It’s not too good to be true. It’s happening Friday, November 30, at Mt Currie Coffee Co. Save the date.
