Crafty by Nature returns, December 15 2013

A few years ago, three crafty chicks, Frances Dickinson, Ulla Clark and Shannon Ellis, combined their creative forces to launch Crafty By Nature, Pemberton’s annual Holiday Market, with a promise of providing a selection of locally made gifts and crafts. Quality You Can Count On.
We’re stoked to confirm that it’s back! Eleven influential designers and artists from the Sea to Sky corridor assemble to create the ultimate source in Pemberton for exclusive handmade finds.
For an interview with Ulla Clark about last year’s event, revisit our Q+A here.

During the holiday season Hi-way 99 comes alive with its artists and makers coming out of the woodwork to showcase their talents and creations. Crafty By Nature curates the one show that satisfies the public’s craving for handmade culture and sophisticated talents. This year’s show is being held December 15th in Pemberton’s Community Center’s Great Hall.
Crafty By Nature has a reputation for bringing art to the people by making high craft and fashion accessible with free admission, a great, central venue, a lively atmosphere with live music provided by the talented Suzanne Wilson, and a craft’s table for the kids. This year the craft table will be run by Trinity Ellis and Alyssa Richman who will also be selling their hand-crafted friendship bracelets to raise money for the Free The Children Charity.
New to the scene this year is children’s line Grizzy n’ Bucko’s from Lillooet Lake. They use all organic cotton and bamboo blends and feature blankets, sleep-sacks, hats and a soothing linen sprays for children. Frances Dickinson (aka Frances Felt) will be offering a new take on Christmas Stockings with personalization sewn on the spot. A new jeweler, Jocelyn Harris of Syn Original Designs, crafts beautiful sterling silver jewelry with a natural, feminine touch. And if you miss her from the Whistler Farmers markets, you will find Renee Dupuis and her eclectic line of women’s accessories here in collaboration with Koz Creations. You know these two girls will be making something great!
Back again this year will be the local favorite, Karen Love and her beautiful paintings, Carolyn Simons’ hand-carded Alpaca wool items , Nicole Wellstein and her line of laser-cut wood jewelry , Caroline Miller’s exquisite line of silver jewelry, LU Print’s linen home-wares, and Vanessa Stark and her vibrant paintings.
Crafty By Nature is Saturday, December 15th (11am-5pm) at the Pemberton Community Center.
