Film Club Screening Set for April 19

You think this winter has been cold?
This month, the Friends of the Library will forego their penchant for subtitles, and screen Prairie Love on the brand new big screen at the Pemberton and District Public Library, for the Pemberton Film Club, April 19th at 7:00 pm.
A US drama and love story, Prairie Love opens with a mysterious high plains drifter travelling the wintry North Dakota prairie, a land where cold takes on a whole new meaning. When the drifter stumbles on an unconscious man lying in the middle of the road, he stops to lend a hand, and then decides to steal the man’s identity, in order to steal the girlfriend the man was on his way to meet for the first time.
Prairie Love was dubbed one of the 10 must see movies from the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. Quirky, perceptive, starkly humorous and unnervingly romantic.
Bundle up. It’s lonely out there.
Gather beforehand at Mile One Eating House for a $10 Film Club special burger plus fries or salad, and linger afterwards for discussion.
