Santa stops by Pemberton to celebrate Christmas at Big Sky
What do you do with a golf course in winter? Turn it into the southern outpost of the North Pole, of course. Brainchild of the brilliant Erin McCardle Stiel, Christmas at Big Sky returns to Pemberton this weekend, to help parents get through the first weekend of the Christmas break, by giving kids thousands of free options to burn off steam, from skating on the lake, to sleighrides, to crafts, candies, choirs, an artisan market, and the Big Bearded Dude himself.
Thanks to the support of the Squamish Lillooet Regional District, the Village of Pemberton, Frontier Pharmacy, Pemberton Supermarket, the Lions Club, Flow Irrigation and Riverlands, the action is all free.
Santa takes a few hours out of his busy Christmas preparation schedule to visit between 11am and 2pm today. The activities take place all day from 10am to 6pm.
